How can therapy help me?
I believe that counselling can help you recognise and use the strengths and the skills you've gained over your life but you might not be fully aware of them at this time. My role as a therapist is to listen and collaborate with you in finding what will help support you.
Commitment and regular attendence is required for counselling to progress and the outcome to be achieved. As the therapy progresses, clients will become more open and accepting of their own feelings and life experiences.
They begin to trust themselves and their own sense of judgement more and they can begin to feel more creative and passionate towards themselves and others.
Counselling can be a very proactive and positive step in developing a greater understanding of yourself, your life experiences and your current situation.
I am committed to developing a therapeutic relationship where you will be gently supported to explore your individual concerns and the best way forward for you.
Counselling can help you to increase your self-awareness, gain insight and understanding.
We all face difficult times in our lives, sometimes we feel unable to figure out what to do and are uncomfortable about sharing our feelings with family and friends.
Seeking help is not a sign of weakness or failure - Counselling can provide a valuable opportunity to look at what's going on for you and help you evaluate how you can best deal with what you are struggling with.
I can use different approaches like CBT, Solution Focused and Creative Therapy to help you look at both past and current issues with out judging you or telling you what to do.
